Project description

Symmetrical lupoid onychodystrophy, SLO, is a autoimmune disease affecting dog's claws. Clinical signs include defects and inflammation in the claws. Otherwise the affected dog can be clinically normal. Diagnosis is confirmed by a histological examination of the claw (pathologic examination). 

 

Breeds

Bearded Collie.

Samples from SLO affected dogs from all breeds are welcome.

 

Which samples are needed:

  • dogs that have been diagnosed with SLO
  • close relatives (parents, siblings, offspring) of the affected dogs
  • healthy dogs over 6 years of age

  • pathology report
