Project description
Atopy or atopic dermatitis is a skin disease, in which the affected dog is sensitized to one or several environmental allergens. Clinical signs include recurrent skin and ear infections and pruritus.
Breeds
Finnish Hound.
Samples from atopy affected dogs from all breeds are welcome.
Which samples are needed:
- dogs that have been diagnosed with atopy
- close relatives (parents, siblings, offspring) of the affected dogs
- healthy dogs over 6 years of age
