Canine genetics research group
Our research group has laboratories on both the Meilahti and the Viikki campuses of the University of Helsinki. Our main laboratory is located in Biomedicum Helsinki. Our research group is part of the two faculties of Veterinary Medicine and Medicine. We are also part of the Department of Veterinary Biosciences, the Department of Medical Genetics and the Research Program for Molecular Medicine. We are also a research group in the Folkhälsan Research Center.
In addition to domestic collaborations, we have several international collaborators in Europe and in the United States. We work closely together with the veterinarians at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine and small animal clinics. The group also has a strong cooperation network with breed clubs, breeders and dog owners.
